I started Peritoneal Dialysis in 2008
after being diagnosed with end stage
renal failure in December 2003. In 2011,
I commenced Haemodialysis.
Having worked at Brent Council for twenty five years, I accepted redundancy when it became too difficult to manage work and carry on with my treatment. I became a WLKPA committee member in October 2011.
Since my kidney transplant in October 2013, I participate in the annual Transplant Games. We get to meet with other patients and celebrate all that can be achieved after organ failure.
In October 2016 I began my role as chair at WLKPA.
